Alexia McWhinney the Chief Operating Officer forJJ Law where she leads the firm’s estate planning and probate practice and serves as lead business counsel for clients across various industries.  Before joining the firm, Alexia served as managing attorney at the McWhinney Law Firm for 5 years and as Legal Counsel at Shell for 3 years.  While at Shell, Alexia supported the company’s trading group as a member of the legal team for Shell Oil Products US and gained valuable experience as a member of Shell’s Global Litigation group.  She graduated with highest honors from Thurgood Marshall School of Law, received her MBA from Kelley School of Business at Indiana University, and attended the University of Oklahoma where she received her BBA from Price College of Business.

Leveraging her extensive background in law and business, Alexia provides strategic counsel to business owners, athletes, and professionals seeking comprehensive wealth planning solutions. She is also committed to educating families on legacy planning and guiding businesses towards sustainable growth and succession planning and her passion for the law is deeply rooted in her genuine desire to serve her clients' needs.

Alexia is a member of the Houston Bar Association and serves her community as a member of The Junior League of Houston and Impact 100. She is licensed to practice in Texas and admitted to practice in the Southern District of Texas.
